2 Steps Forward and ___ (fill in the blank) Steps Backward
I'm convinced that the majority of the decisions we make in life, even the most crucial ones, are made without an abundance of critical information. If we are such smart animals, why then are we making decisions without being fully informed?
It could be that this logical expectation, such as having all your ducks in a row before deciding something, is not a proper view of reality.
If I reflect on my life's decisions it is very clear that I sometimes make decisions specifically without having enough information, in order for me to force myself into a kind of creative corner.
How about you?
It's possible that I am looking for a state of mind, such as bewilderment (or possibly befuddlement lol) in order to get the juices flowing.
Or, it could be that I'm purposely stirring the pot to get lucky.
In any case if you are thinking about making one of those big-type decisions and are feeling frozen, it may be because of the anxiety that surrounds a lack of reliable data.
But the notion that there will come a time when all of the data will present itself in an elegant way and that your decision will be both crystal clear and error-free may need some rethinking.

Another way of saying this is that even the most brilliant, disciplined people that ever walked this beautiful planet of ours did not get by without a big, heaping spoonful of luck.
